...has been our slogan from the birth of the Hannah Center. In June of 1993, we opened our doors for the very first time; this coming June, we will be celebrating our 10th Anniversary.

On June 4, 1993, a 20 year old homeless, pregnant woman from Marshfield became our very first resident. She was soon joined by another young woman from Stevens Point, and by the first of August, five young women called the Hannah Center home. We have housed 100 women as of March, 2003.

Our goals have not changed over the years. We exist to give each young woman a chance to gain autonomy, to look within herself, and see what traits and aptitudes lie dormant within her, waiting to be tapped.
